I'd go and see a dermatologist, get your hair follicles rejuvenated
Are you absolutely sure that this hair loss has been caused due to the friction from the helmet and not from any other cause?

If yes then it will grow back provided you have stopped wearing the helmet now. Usually any surface hair loss due to friction or other mechanical causes grows back, if there's no scar tissue formation on the skin surface (think shaving)

But you must visit a dermatologist/trichologist to make sure that there is no fungal or bacterial infection behind your hair loss. Fungal and bacterial infections are very common in helmet wearers and can cause hair loss if left untreated.

If not wearing the helmet is out of the question for you (which I am assuming is!) you should consider putting in some kind of lining inside the helmet which should reduce the friction to your scalp
it's hereditary

hair thickening products are not really working

so you cannot grow them back

unless you get a hair transplant
No. Try Rogaine for now. If it gets worse, you might consider a hair replacement procedure.
If the spots are in the size of a quarter and has a smooth surface. Check out the images in the website below, if its similar then it must be Alopecia Areata.

My bro managed to find a website called http://www.ALOPECIA-AREATA-CURE.com when he had the same problem that explains about the condition and suggests treatment. He gave it a try and to all our surprise he recovered.

Its quite informative. Your might want to give it a try. Wish you a quick recovery.
There are a few different possible answers to this question:

#1. If the follicles are still intact then yes the hair will grow back, however more than likely it will grow back as thin fine hair.

#2. If the follicles are not intact then your hair will not grow back naturally you will need something to help it.

Luckily there is one solution to either answer. Start taking Elon Matrix 5,000 vitamins. These vitamins have biotin in them, which Dermatologists have found to help in hair regrowth. From what I have read about this product it helps rebuild the follicle and strengthen the hair. From using the product I know it works. My hair is thicker and healthier now than it has been in years. The company also has a nice sulfate free hair care collection that is great for all hair types especially super dry over treated hair!

Hope this helps! GOOD LUCK!!
Procerin is one of the most prescribed drugs for treating male pattern baldness and has yielded positive results. It is completely natural oral medication that restricts the conversion of testosterone into DHT, thus reducing the adverse effects of testosterone. It is completely safe and is very effective in the age group of 18 - 35. The success rate is nearly 88%.

Another powerful hair care medication is Tricomin and is sold in 3 forms: Tricomin Spray, Tricomin Shampoo, Tricomin Conditioner. These forms yield the same results and it is up to you to choose the one that you want to use. Tricomin consists of copper peptides that assist in formation of healthy hair follicles and in turn, healthy hair.
