it really bugs me because i shower once every other day. wash my face everyday, wash my hands after meals the toilet etc. but i still get them! its really annoying as none of my parents got spots (i asked)

If you're a teenager, then it's partly because your body's hormone levels are changing and the spots are one of the side effects. Most people outgrow them after a few years.
In the mean time, sometimes harsh cleaning products on your face can actually make the spots worse. My doctor told me to use just cool water on my face and to wash it a few times a day with a gentle cloth. No scrubbing and no soap. It really works. The only time I get spots on my face is when I'm really stressed out (since spots can get worse with stress.)
If using just water on your face and a gentle soap on your body USN''t working, then ask your parents about taking you to see a dermatologist. They specialize in treating concerns with the skin and they can prescribe medicines to help control your spots if they're really bad.

try those microderm abrasion tools they sale over the counter. Over time it gets rid of dead skin cells and the look of age and sun spots and other blemishes. But if you have acne, I wouldn't do it while you are broken out b/c it will spread the bacteria.
You can get the microderm abrasion tools at spa stores. I've seen them at Target as well. Not sure about the quality. I've tried one from Beauty Control which do home parties like Tupperware. I only tried it that day. I am only speaking from what I have heard. Want to try it, but haven't yet.

Why am I always breaking out in the same spot?
It is right around my jawline, and up towards my mouth area on the left side of my face. I have been breaking out on and off in this area for the last month. I then dry my face, get dressed etc and then drench a cotton wool pad with Clean%26amp;clear blackhead cleansing facial wash. Then thats it, nothing more until the next day when you repeat the process.
Dont expect it to go away within a week, maybe even a month and if your face feels really irritated, or the spots get worse stop using the facial scrub as much

Since I've been using it about 2 weeks, my skin is softer, smoother, and NOT dry anymore, even I live in Southern California. My hair is unbelievable-I've never had such soft, shiny hair and it's down to my butt. I also have these dry skin patches on my legs from a medication. I've had them for years and absolutely hate them-they are SO ugly. But the virgin coconut oil is making them *disappear*.

White spots or what we call 'holydays' in a tattoo is not normal. It acceptable by some artists but it is truly not normal and should not acceptable. You most likely did everything right. What was wrong was the talent of the artist. When he is doing your tattoo an experienced artist can read the actions of your skin and know for certain if he has packed the ink well. The only exception to this rule is with tribal work. It is almost impossible to have an even/solid packing of black ink on the first sitting throughout the piece. An award winning tribal piece will always take several sessions. Now if your piece is primarily color then these 'holidays' should not be expected nor acceptable. Wait another couple of weeks. You most likely did everything fine. You will need a touch-up, which should be free from the place you got it from for up to the first three months because things like this is expected to happen. So I'd wait until it's fully healed (most likely 5/11ish) and go back for a touch up. If you have any major concerns, contact the place where you got it from.

If they are reddish and slightly raised it could be ackenic keratosis; not quite sure of spelling...sorry. Try exfoliating and moisturizing (they are caused by having dry skin) and use something with AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) to renew the skin.

Hey alright so i know exactly how you feel. I bought the Clean %26amp; Clear Acne control kit and its amazing. I wash my face in the morning with the wash then before I go to bed I use neutrigina %26amp; then the clean and clear moisturizer. And if i have a big pimple I use the Clean %26amp; Clear fast clearing acne spot thing. So personally, I like clean and clear and it really does work because right now Ive only gotten like one or two pimples occasionally since I switched it. So I say purchase the clean and clear acne control it ($20 %26amp; worth it) and a local drug store (like CVS) and see how it works for you. %26amp; for how long it takes for pimples to go away really depends on the person but they're going to keep coming for a while, how fast a particular pimple goes away depends on your skin. I do not have oily skin so my pimples go away in about 2 days. hope i helped. GOOD LUCK they're such a pain and just cause you to flip out but hey your not alone! (:
ps- ( some people may tell you NOT to do this but I do when I get a massive pimple ) When you have a huge pimple and you need to gone fast, take a cottenswab and put rubbing alcohol on it and just press it really hard onto the pimple. the pimple will pop (ew) then take 2 more cottenswabs and squeeze the pimple between then and It'll be gone the next day :]

I am losing my hair! I have thought about trying everything! A rug, Rogain, Hair Club for Men. The problem is that those are expensive solutions. I am thinking about using Chia Pet sprouts to help cover up portions of my bald spots and then spray painting them black so no one notices.

lately, I have been noticing small spots on my face considerably lighter than my skin color - they are very light brown/pale spots.

How to help heal a pink spot after a pimple?
I had a pimple about a week ago, that i irritated while washing my face, it popped/got scrated, for a while there was a red mark with a brown around it, it quite dark.
since then its turned lighter, its a light pink colour? is this new skin or hyperpigmentation, i have brown skin so im not sure if a pink mark would be the result of hyperpigmentation. will it go away, or should i use cream for hyperpigmentation.How to help heal a pink spot after a pimple?
I have the same problem...I get spots/pimple clusters and even when they go, they leave reddish marks for ages and my skin looks blotchy and (even though I'm 35), kinda hormonal!
I use clean and clear or neutrogena clear skin - both contain salicylic acid which prevents breakouts and gradually evens the skin tone out too.
Any female with spots I'd recommend trying dianette or yasmin contraceptive pills because if it's hormonal, that can sort out you within weeks!
Also I'd recommend taking a 100% multi vitamin/mineral complex and Omega 369 oils every day because that ensures you're getting the right nutrition and also, the omega oils improve blood flow.
Another suggestion is the scrub you can get called 'resurface' or something from L'oreal. You only use it a couple of times a week (and use at night because it makes your face red!). It really works not just with the colouring but also the texture - smoothes it back out.
And my final suggestion is 'sheer cover' mineral foundation. You see it on infomercials a lot...tacky I know! But it really works. You can buy it on eBay too so it's easy for you to get some to try it out. You use the tiniest amount but because it doesn't settle into enlarged pores and it contains minerals that reflect light, it disguises any kind of 'scarring' and also it stops you getting spots because it doesn't block pores. The minerals in it reflect light a bit too which acts as a kind of concealer. It's hard to explain but it's fantastic. Just make sure not to use too much - and apply with a kabuki brush starting from the outside and working in so you don't end up with an over made up nose!
I know people say make up's a no no - but because this doesn't block pores and has the added effect of stopping you touching your face too much, I think it's good. You can wear it on its own too and as long as you apply it minimally, it covers but doesn't look like you've got make up on.

So ok your off to the store and you have a spot of salicylic acid cream on a pimple (ex. practically any spot treatment over the counter) ~ well. you are actually making the sun tan that spot (very rapidly believe it or not) ~~so you maintain this dark spot and cant get rid of it and wonder why?? So put something ~~ANYTHING!!~~ with an SPF factor over this little dark spot anytime you are out in the sun (even to get the mail) It will help I promise.
You could also go have a light peel ex: glycolic, salicylic, friut acid, enzyme~~ at a spa to help exfoliate your outterlayer of dead skin. But dont forget your SPF. Also the darker your natural skin tone the more likely you are to hyperpigment. Even if its your grandmother with the dark complexion, it is in you too and can cause you to be more sensitive.
