I have a black and grey cross tattoo on my upper left arm and I got it Saturday (5/31) and it has been peeling since about Tuesday but one corner of the cross is scabbed while rest is just peeling? Why is this? I know to leave it alone and not mess with it at ALL. But I was just curiousWhy is only one small spot of my tatt scabbing and rest peeling?
it could be that there is a very intricate design right there or possibly the tattoo artist pushed down harder on that areaWhy is only one small spot of my tatt scabbing and rest peeling?
If you're scabbing in one localized area, that generally means the needle was either a little deeper in that spot... or your artist really worked in the color/line. After a few runs over with a needle the skin becomes more and more irritated. It shouldn't be anything to worry about, if you notice red, puffy skin around that area of your tattoo, you should still be applying some ointment (i recommend A %26amp; D), but keep a close eye on it if it worsens... it could lead to a small infection if you don't.
best of luck.
its nothing harmaful but ..i dont think you used any vitamin e on it now have you .. if you wich i though you need to put more on it its getting dry ..and when that happens it starts peepling irritathing and then its going to get itchy and yepp your gonna end up scraching it !!! so go get some vitamin e !! and also maybe its doing that if youve been rumbing against it ..(clothes maybe) ... anyways go get some vitamin e at the drug store is the best !! and hurry hurry !!
Same thing happened with my husbands tattoo, but he just used lots of lotion, vaseline, and Aloe Vera cream. Also, A%26amp;E cream is good, too. Try it, and it will get better!
It's just the way tattoos go. I've found that the healing process is never the same for two tattoos. Sometimes your body just heals different areas at different rates.
Congrats on the new tattoo and good luck!!!
My pegasus was pretty much all healed up except for the back hooves after a week. Guess that area just took more time in healing.
