i got my piercing done professionally last friday. it looks fine and it isnt infected but i cant stick my tongue out all the way and i think its because the bottom was pierced too far back. is this normal in the beginning? what should i do?What should i do if my tongue piercing is in the wrong spot?
Right after I got mine done, my tongue felt paralyzed and I couldn't stick it out of my mouth. I remember because I couldn't lick my lips, and so I had to carry chapstick for the first few days or else they'd dry up. Wait a little while, and if after the pain and swelling have gone away this problem remains, check with the piercer or see a doctor. Ultimately, the piercing shouldn't really affect how you can move your tongue. What should i do if my tongue piercing is in the wrong spot?
i just got mines done too and i feel like its too close to the tip of my tongue. i dont see why you wouldnt be able to stick your tongue out all the way are your teeth blocking the bar? if so that will change the bar they give you is almost twice the length of a regular one because they want to make sure your tongue doesnt swell over the bar. Change the bar about 2-4 weeks after you get the piercing and if you are still having problems take it out, let it heal, and get it done again. just remember no tongue piercing is going to be perfect
You should take the piercing out and let your tongue heal itself.
After that, when your tongue has healed.
DON';T DO IT AGAIN, it's just really disgusting.
What really baffles me is why young, and very pretty girls go out and destroy their good looks that way.
I really can't believe that todays youth think that putting a bunch of holes in their face makes them more attractive.
Its even worse when ugly people do it.
It may still just be swollen which could make it appear swollen. Wait until the swelling has completely subsided. If it you are still unhappy with it, and want it fixed, you will have to get it pierced in a different spot.
well just be happy they pierced where they didnt hit a vein and you would have been paralyzed.
piercings take a month to heal.
Just leave it alone
You could get a tongue transplant.
