My husband dyed our cat's white spots pink for Valentine's Day, and put eyeliner on her with black dye

He used food coloring on the white parts, but I can't get it off ... I gave her baths, and I have suspicions he may have used something more permanent. The eyeliner does look good, but not natural.

Anyone have any ideas how to get this stuff off? It's been almost a week now!

The cat is not sick at all, the food coloring is safe.My husband dyed our cat's white spots pink for Valentine's Day, and put eyeliner on her with black dye
First of all how romantic is that!! You probably just have to let it wear off it will eventually go away as long as the cat is okay with the new look!HA!! Have a great day!!My husband dyed our cat's white spots pink for Valentine's Day, and put eyeliner on her with black dye
Why would he do that to the poor cat?! I hope you get it off!
how do u put eyeliner on a cat??
How weird... I've always heard food coloring was permanent. Maybe try hydrogen peroxide, or a degreaser ( especially for the eyeliner ) like Goop or Orange Cleaner?

I've also heard that alcohol works as an alternative to bleach for food coloring stains, but be gentle with all of these. I don't know how a cat might be affected by the substances.

Honestly, what I would do is wait for the new coat to grow in. I'd be too scared to test these on my pet.
no affiance but it sounds like ur husband is retarted. omg why would u dye a cat and put eyeliner on it and how do u put eyeliner on a cat? i wish u had pictures
I just got email from a friend today that showed pictures of ';dyed cats';. Apparently, some people pay big bucks to have their cats ';decorated';.... as much as $15,000. Your husband may have a lucrative talent. I could email you the pictures if you send me your email address. Some of them are really bizarre. They say that the fur will grow out in 6 months. The worst that could happen is that he could be laughed at by the neighborhood cats.
1st of all be super careful, as your cat's skin and fur is not used to the harsh stuff we put on our own hair and skin.

Go to the pet store - they have good shampoos that really get everything out. We had to use it when our cat messed with blueberry pie filling. If it does not come out, DO NOT use anything like nail polish remover, rubbing alcohol, or anything like that. Either let it be and live with it, or use hair clippers to gently shave it off and let it grow back in naturally.

AND! Never let your husband do this again!
Divorce your husband. He's an idiot
My Question is... HOW do you put Eyeliner on a CAT?! hee hee! I wish you had Pictures! :D

Well- MANY People do this to White dogs %26amp; they just think its Cute! But if it bothers you take your cat to Petco and maybe they can rinse out some of the color.

If all fails- Shave the cat!
