I have somewhat long hair and am getting a haircut soon but not if I have this problem lol.On the middle of my head though, there are white flakes. l have large white flakes, they don't flake like dandruff, though. It's like crusty deposits, or, buildup on my scalp. Is this because it is really dry? Do I need to take more showers?
Help please???I have White Flakes on my head in one spot, it is *not* dandruff... What can I do to get rid of it?
try nizoral every 4 days for a month to 6 weeks.
it sounds like Seborrheic Dermitis. it works.
also, in between washings put PURE, unrefined coconut oil(yes the organic kind you cook with)on the patches. that will help speed things up. don't scratch or try to comb them out.
it will further irritate your scalp.I have White Flakes on my head in one spot, it is *not* dandruff... What can I do to get rid of it?
What you need to do is wash your hair REALLY well. Use a clarifying shampoo and scrub kinda hard. Don't use your nail, just the pads of your fingertips. You can also use a comb to kinda get the crusty stuff off. It's like cradle cap, only you're older. Hope it helps. ;)
Sounds like ringworm. Whenever you have a localized spot like that, that's usually the culprit. You probably need to have your doctor look at it, and he/she can give something for it.
Could be dermatitis or seborrhea ... try a medicated shampoo such as Nizoral or Neutrogena T/Gel.
its dead skin,
you need to get
a special shampoo
not from a supermarket
from a chemist.
