I have brown dreadlocks and get little white spots on the ends some hairs, is this normal? what is this?

It's just the hair follicles from the roots at your scalp. I have dreadlocks, too, and it's totally normal... regular folks' hair falls out when they shed, but dreads hold everything in.

I'm blessed with blonde hair so I hardly ever even notice, but if it bugs you and you're patient enough, you can just pull the little white parts off.
