I am 18 years old and I would like to get a tattoo, and I was wondering how painful it was, and what is a less painful place to get it. I do not have any tattoos as of right now. I plan on getting one sooner or later, but I'm to chicken of the pain factor it will cause. I don't plane on getting a real elaborate one or a big either, just some spot color but it will mostly be black and white. How Painfull is a tattoo %26amp; in what spot will theire be less pain?
I am twenty and I am considering getting my first tattoo as well. From what I have read and from the people I have talked to about I keep hearing that a tattoo is less painful on a fleshy part of the body. and It is more painful directly over a bone.
I would not recommend deciding the location of a tattoo based on pain however, pain is only temporary and many wear it as a badge that they were tough enough to get it. The pain goes away, but the tattoo that is left behind lasts forever. How Painfull is a tattoo %26amp; in what spot will theire be less pain?
The amount of pain will depend on detail, size, body part, and your personal tolerance to pain. Just remember that the pain only lasts while you are getting it. I have 10 altogether and my most painful was the lower back, least painful was the back of my neck and ankles.
It's not that bad. It hurts more when they do the outlining, then colouring is not that bad. Of course the closer to the bone, the more it hurts. It won't hurt as bad in the fleshy part of your body (like arm). i have a tatoo on my back and ankle, and it hurts the most when the needle got closet to the bony part (like the spine). Do it! The pain won't linger much afterwards.
No matter where the tattoo there is still going to be pain.
But the ankle would be a good spot because small non-elaborate designs work well three. Also, the ankle has to support your whole body and is used to pain (for lack of a better word).
Hip bones, rib cages, and collar bones, though are the most sensitive.
i had one at the back of my shoulder and it didnt hurt much.but i had one on my lower back and that hurt a lot more especially over the bone bit.but it was bearable the pain and it wouldnt put me off having another.
Take a needle and have it at a 45 degree angle. Drag it across your skin while applying some pressure. That's how a tattoo feels when they are just starting. Once they have been doing it for a while, you cant feel it anymore.
Places that are really bony or where your skin is thin, is where it hurts the worst.
the pain is the best part about getting a tattoo!!!!!!!!!!!
boney areas are more sensitive tho.
Hi
\I didn't find it painful at all. It feels like cat scratches, and after a while it just gets numb. Colour hurts more and the starting and stopping is the worst part. Places that hurt the most are under your arms (in sensitive skin areas) and on the bone, such as ankle bones. Be sure to Know what you want. Really think about it. You are young and may change your mind.

avoid your feet if you fear pain
i got my sole done recently and i cried!
lower back and forearms are really not sore at all:)
ankle, ribs, feet, neck, head, etc are all going to be sore as the needle will touch bone:)
